Alison, you are growing so fast! It’s hard to believe that you are already two and a half months old. You look different and learn new things everyday. This picture is so sweet! I love how big you look when you sit in your Bubmo chair. Your face is filling out and you’re getting some cute little chubby cheeks! Your eyes are turning lighter shades of blue and light up and sparkle with evvery smile! I can’t wait to see what else you’ll do.

Journaling reads:
My little nature boy. Everytime we go outside you love to pick flowers for me. We play a little game where you run around the flower bed and hide behind the burning bush until I say, “Where’d my Gabe go?” Then you run out and jump into my arms. And then you pick more flowers for me.

We went to the zoo to see the butterfly exhibit one last time before they went back to Costa Rica. This time there was a newly hatched butterfly that was very friendly. The zoo keeper in the exhibit brought the butterfly over to you to look at. He was a very pretty green and brown color. The little girl that was standing by us even got to hold the butterfly on her finger. Both of us had so much fun looking at the butterflies on our many trips to the zoo this summer. I know I can’t wait to go back and look at them again next year!

Gabe, you are just so cool! I gave you some baseball stickers to play with. You went off to play and came back to ask me what a sticker was. I told you it was the catcher’s mask and the catcher wears it on his face. You went to play again and when you came back you had put the baseball hat sticker on the top of your head, the catcher’s mask sticker on your mouth and the glove and baseball stickers on in your hand. You are just so smart to know where all of those baseball items go on your body. You do such goofy things everyday and it is such a joy to watch!

Gabe, you look so grown up in this picture. You remind me so much of your Dad too! You’re not my baby boy anymore, you’re turning into such a wonderful little man, so independent and free. I look forward to each and every day to see what new things you will do, say and learn.

Journaling reads:
Mom, Dad, Grandma & Pappy took you to the fair for the first time. You had so much fun looking at the animals and walking around, but your favorite part was the food! You shared a corn cob with Pappy, fries and a gyro with Dad, an Icee with Mom and a corn dog with Grandma. Then we got you a great big ice cream cone and Dad thought you
needed some help eating it. You can just tell by the look on your face that you were ready to have your ice cream cone back! It was a fun day and you were pooped when we got home!
